Our rankings aren't set in stone. A recommendation changes when a newer model beats our current pick on the criteria above, when a sustained price shift changes the value equation, when a clear pattern of reliability problems shows up in verified buyer feedback, or when a product is discontinued. When that happens we update the ranking and the “last updated” date on the article — we re-check our picks as new models launch and at least every few months.
